I’m going to be honest here. I’ve spent the past three days trying to think of something clever to write for this section of my site. It’s not working. I suppose I’ll just give you the broad strokes and if you want to know more we can meet up, I’ll buy you a sandwich and fill you in on the rest.

Well first and foremost I’m a husband and a father. That’s not my job, or an obligation, it’s just who I am and pretty much defines me. This fact is important to me just because I find that a lot of people in my profession take themselves way too seriously. I like to remind myself of what is truly important before I become too much of a self important twit. I love what I do, I think I do it well, but it is just that, it’s what I do. *steps off soap box.

I’ve been in this business professionally for 12 years now. I spend my days as the Sr. Art Director at Blue Diesel in Westerville, Ohio. My background is in print design, but somewhere along the way I reluctantly morphed into a web and interactive designer. It grew on me, but I still love the print. My focus is on the front end…Making things look nice. I leave all the heavy lifting to my slew of smart people to ensure that things work well. Alright. That’s enough for now.
